We’re getting there.

Day one of making cruiser decks. I realise my last link might not work if you’re not signed in to Google+ so I’ve posted a few of the highlights.

Fingers crossed for the trucks and wheels getting here this week!

It’s a work in progress, but here’s an hour or so’s work on a cruiser deck. Ordered some 3” trucks and nice, big, soft wheels today from RouteOne so hopefully they’ll arrive soon.

If these boards work as we intend them to then we’re gonna hopefully make a bunch more using the rest of our wood and sell them. “Happy Cactus Handmade Cruisedecks,” coming soon to a gig near you (provided you’re in Hull).

I have a dad again!

The old man’s back from a fourteen-week working trip to Melbourne and here’s how he’s decided to spoil me:

A limited edition ten year anniversary Melbourne Ice jersey, so that I may once again be the sexiest Ice Hog on the training sessions.
A nice 180g reprint of a Small Faces album he found going cheap in a record shop.
A travel bag full of all kinds of travel shit. Nicely pinched off his Emirates flight home. Owt for nowt.
There’s a boomerang downstairs as well, I want to throw it but I also want to put it on my wall.

Should be writing my project report. Instead, I’m imagining I’m on a boat.

Yes, I’ve been on the nuggets again.

Here’s a fantastic song about being in love with a mannequin in a shop window. I love the vocals on this, both the gritty lead and the female backing.

Exams are over and my loan’s in so I just splashed on some CDs. I have volumes 3 and 4 of this series already and they’re fantastic, so I couldn’t help getting these two even if they do cost twice as much.

If I won the lottery, Psychic Circle Records would get a fair bit of money their way.
